1.  Release History

March 21, 2013

The E-mail Campaign Manager 2.0.0 rev.130123 is released.

Tested with Sitecore CMS 6.6 rev.121203 (Update-2), 6.6 rev.130111 (Update-3) and CMS 7.0 rev.130424.

Compatibility

This version of the module only runs on Sitecore CMS 6.6 Update-2 and DMS 6.6 Update-2 or later.

Issues Fixed

• While processing the dispatch of a message in ECM, the start and end date of the process could be incorrect (351957).
• When a message item moves from the Processing folder to the Sent folder the Processing folder is not refreshed (331272).
• Message Preview does not work when the Render URL field contains a wrong value (342199).
• The Import Users wizard does not specify a profile for imported users (348768).
• TargetAudienceBase.OptInList does not return null (358478).
• Links with anchors in messages did not work properly (338979).
• “Already unsubscribed” page was not shown if a user was unsubscribed (370086).
• The queuing performance was improved by using a bulk insert (347695).
• Field validations that run when the From address field is left empty were improved (355651).
• API was improved to be more extensible (334117, 334119).
  

2.  Known issues

This page contains the known issues that were found in ECM 2.0

• ECM 2.0 does not run on Sitecore CMS 7.1.
  Workaround:
  Contact Customer Service and request hotfix E-mail Campaign Manager 2.0.0 rev. 130123 Hotfix 400622 to run ECM 2.0 on Sitecore CMS 7.1.
• Note: This known issue was fixed in Sitecore CMS 6.6 Update-3.
  When installing ECM, an unhandled .NET Framework exception might occur on the final page of the Installation Wizard, and the Windows Event Log will contain an entry for ".NET RunTime" with "Exception Info: Lucene.Net.Index.MergePolicy+MergeException" as part of the message. (376102)
  This is caused by an issue in Sitecore CMS 6.6 Update-2.
  Workaround:
  Contact Customer Service and request Hotfix 378164 to address this issue.
• Note: This known issue was fixed in CMS 6.6 Update-4.
  When the dispatch of two or more messages has been scheduled for exactly the same time (in minutes), then some of the dispatches will be paused (373190).
  Workaround:
  We recommend scheduling dispatches for different time.
• When visitors click links in email messages, two pages could be registered for the visit instead of only one. This could cause Dashboard reports to show too many pages for the visits associated with an email message. (376430)
  This is caused by an issue in CMS 6.6 which is expected to be resolved in a future CMS update.
  Workaround:
  Contact Customer Service and request Hotfix 376951 to address this issue.
• When ECM sends messages using a rule that is triggered on the “Item Delete” or “Version removed” events, the dispatch does not work as expected when using ECM 2.0 with CMS 6.6 Update-2. This is caused by an issue in CMS 6.6 which is expected to be resolved in a future CMS update (please use reference number 376517 when contacting Customer Service about this issue).
• When you start the A/B testing with the option to select a winner automatically, the notification displays a wrong status. (380512)
• When a recipient clicks a link in a message and becomes a productive visitor, the visitor might not appear in the Clicked state. This may cause the Message funnel to show an incorrect number of recipients who clicked the link (379407).
• On the Message tab, when you select a recipient for whom you want to preview a message, the preview panel disappears. (380505)
  Workaround:
  Reload the page manually (press F5 or Ctrl+R) to regain control of the “Preview for recipient” panel.
• The Add Attachment menu item disappears from the Message tab after a user performs the following actions:
  A user adds a new recipient list for the existing message that already contains attachments.
  A user creates a new variant of the message. (380469, 380471).
  Workaround:
  Reload the page to see the Add Attachment menu item (press F5 or Ctrl+R).
• In the Spam Check dialog, when you click on a spam client that your message did not pass, the details section shows data for a different client (378696).
• There are several entries in the Japanese translation package that are not translated (381064).
• If you use Web Form for Marketers, then you should download the ECM 2 Save Actions package in order to be able to use the save actions.
• ECM 2.0 does not support the Danish language. 
• ECM 2.0 cannot be used with Design Importer 2.0 on CMS 7. (389459)
  Workaround:
  Design Importer 1.0 can be installed on Sitecore 7 and used with ECM 2.0.
• Email Campaign Manager is not compatible with the Safari browser. ECM features that require Microsoft Silverlight may not work correctly in Safari. (420288)
